Steadfast had marked the date on 17th-20th September 2013 for New Intake Recruitment Drive for 2013/2014 session as well as Censerve Humanitarian Expo 2.0.

We were pleasure enough to accept new members of STEADFAST IIUM as life would be much easier if we work together to serve the Ummah.

The details of open booth for new intake:-

Not to forget, during the open booth for new intake, Censerve Humanitarian Expo series 2 also was held on the same day with new intake recruitment drive. The venue for the expo is in front of mosque compound same like the first series. It starts from 17th until 20th September 2013.

On 6th July 2013, Steadfast had organized 'Steadfast Volunteer Hospital (Pediatric ward)' which this program acts as a platform to instill generosity in STEADFAST. They also can develop strong relationship among them. At the same time, members also can develop their communication skills by communicating with the community. Among the main objective of this program is to create a team of responsible students to assist the young generation outside the campus as well as to promote social responsibilities among STEADFAST members to be generous and helpful.

On 5th and 7th of March 2013, Steadfast had organized Steadfast McLeague Debate competition. The main objective of this event is to enhance the communication skill of Steadfast members and beside it intended to strengthen the bond between every members of Steadfast IIUM club. Last but not least is to produce a creative, innovative and passionate Ummah towards the mission and vision of the society and university.

Gombak, 12th April - STEADFAST Mc LEAGUE 2012 was successfully held at Kuliyyah of Architecture and Environmental Design (KAED). By the theme of ‘Fostering a first-class leader’ , a debate competition had been organized by the Human Resource & Management Bureau (HRM) to upgrade the new STEADFAST members’ creativity and ability in inspired thinking and presentation skills.

Thus, the new members being exposed to this intellectual activities through debate. Each of the members will equip with absolute characteristics in sequence to be the talented and outstanding daie’ not only for himself but also, for the community of IIUM itself and the entire ummah as a whole.

The organizing committees have work together to ensure the programme runnning smoothly as planned. Each of the bureaus has sent three members to participate in the league competition on behalf of the bureaus which involving OUTREACH, GEMUDA, SPECTRA, HRM, SENDI, INFO, R&D and ENTREP. Every participants for every bureaus were talented in the debate and be able to perform well in the competition. In final round, SENDI bureau were compete with INFO. The debate were very extravagant with talented participants and both of the bureaus were competing well and be able to end the competition with rightful ending.

The winner which is from INFO and the best debater, Fatehah Khaleelah Hanizi is also one of the members from INFO bureau. Second runner goes to SENDI and followed by HRM as the third winner. Overall, based on the commitments given by all the participants and teamwork from the committees, this programme is successful. From this programme, members of STEADFAST may be able to have more confidence and high self-esteem throughout in the club and daily life.Besides, all members are becoming as one family in STEADFAST. Suggesting that, this programme should be organized annually in order to maintain good performance either in the study or in the society.

Steadfast-ians were experienced satisfaction and happiness for the first Family Night ever! According to the Alumni, the name was once called Mass Gathering. Later, it changed to Family Night. And now, it changed again to Lailatul Ukhuwwah. But for some of us, we are still stick to call it as Family Night, in order not to get confused. It is a collaboration from a few bureaus, such as Gemuda, Info, Spectra and Sendi. The programme started at Kaed mosque around 7 pm. With the azan of maghrib, all of Steadfast-ians performed the Maghrib prayer. Then, it’s continued with Solat Sunat Taubat and Hajat.

In filling the gap between Maghrib and Isyak, everyone was invited to join the tazkirah that was delivered by the head of Sendi, Bro. Shahrul Azri. Everyone was touched to listen to his tazkirah, since the mosque was silent with the reminders. The gist that was pointed out during the tazkirah was about ikhtilat between men and women in society, purifying the intention in joining society, etc. Other than that, the slot was continued by the president of Steadfast, Bro. Aqil Azmi Khair. He also had pointed out about a few reminders that should be noted by Muslim facilitators, together with a few stories and moral values of the stories. Besides, he enlightened about the significance of 21 years of Steadfast as one of social clubs in IIUM. After that, our president gave reminders to all Steadfast-ians in this tenure, it’s either to make Steadfast be outstanding as leaders, or to make it perish as fools.It depends on us, folks!

As the Lailatul Ukhuwwah went on and on at Auditorium B of Engine Block E2, all family members of Steadfast remain seated, until all heads or assistant of each bureau came to the front and told some updates about their bureaus. It was also a satisfaction, because at the end of the event, everyone was in invited to fill their stomach. The fried rice and colourful cupcakes that were served was scrumptious for everyone! They back with a feeling of grateful to Allah as Steadfast-ians were able to have a strong bond with the name of ukhuwwah. Alhamdulillah everything went well.

Hopefully, for the next Family Night, we will have more excitement. As said by Sister Rahimah, “you can be excited to join programs, but do not forget your studies.” InsyaAllah. Remember to bear in mind with that advice. As a closing for this entry, we are from Info bureau, would like to apologize for any shortcomings and we would like to say THANK YOU to everyone, THANK YOU to all members of Info for making the birthday cards, and THANK YOU for the UKHUWWAH in Steadfast. “aslih nafsak wad’u ghairak”.

Assalamualaikum.

We are from Information Bureau apologize for the late updates, since the last invitation about SET before the long break. However, this post is just to inform all readers that Steadfast had joined a program in Sekolah Setiabudi on 18^th and 19^th of January. The program took two days of duration. It was before the two weeks of holiday. Yes, people who joined the mentor-mentee program had to sacrifice their holidays. See their commitments? Congratulations to all of you, the leaders of the world. And thanks for your sincerity :)

For your information, Steadfast is one of the clubs that has bond with Sekolah Setiabudi. In fact, they always invite Steadfast to join their programs, as the teachers had seen that facilitators can play their roles to give support to their students, especially to candidates of PMR and SPM. Some of the pairs (students and facilitators) are still keep in touch to always ask for advice in their examinations. Since our facilitators are also students, the teachers give us full belief that these brothers and sisters can share on how they study, and on how they manage their packed schedules. Yes, they were interested to know on how IIUM students make steps to involve in society, in sports and in academic areas. Besides, all facilitators consist of different courses. Hence, it makes them to make us as their role model. *cough*
