Steadfast-ians were experienced satisfaction and happiness for the first Family Night ever! According to the Alumni, the name was once called Mass Gathering. Later, it changed to Family Night. And now, it changed again to Lailatul Ukhuwwah. But for some of us, we are still stick to call it as Family Night, in order not to get confused. It is a collaboration from a few bureaus, such as Gemuda, Info, Spectra and Sendi. The programme started at Kaed mosque around 7 pm. With the azan of maghrib, all of Steadfast-ians performed the Maghrib prayer. Then, it’s continued with Solat Sunat Taubat and Hajat.

In filling the gap between Maghrib and Isyak, everyone was invited to join the tazkirah that was delivered by the head of Sendi, Bro. Shahrul Azri. Everyone was touched to listen to his tazkirah, since the mosque was silent with the reminders. The gist that was pointed out during the tazkirah was about ikhtilat between men and women in society, purifying the intention in joining society, etc. Other than that, the slot was continued by the president of Steadfast, Bro. Aqil Azmi Khair. He also had pointed out about a few reminders that should be noted by Muslim facilitators, together with a few stories and moral values of the stories. Besides, he enlightened about the significance of 21 years of Steadfast as one of social clubs in IIUM. After that, our president gave reminders to all Steadfast-ians in this tenure, it’s either to make Steadfast be outstanding as leaders, or to make it perish as fools.It depends on us, folks!

As the Lailatul Ukhuwwah went on and on at Auditorium B of Engine Block E2, all family members of Steadfast remain seated, until all heads or assistant of each bureau came to the front and told some updates about their bureaus. It was also a satisfaction, because at the end of the event, everyone was in invited to fill their stomach. The fried rice and colourful cupcakes that were served was scrumptious for everyone! They back with a feeling of grateful to Allah as Steadfast-ians were able to have a strong bond with the name of ukhuwwah. Alhamdulillah everything went well.

Hopefully, for the next Family Night, we will have more excitement. As said by Sister Rahimah, “you can be excited to join programs, but do not forget your studies.” InsyaAllah. Remember to bear in mind with that advice. Steadfast-ians could be satisfied now when all new Excos and Mainboards in this tenure had been asked to join Course Induction for this year- 2012. This tenure which is led by our President, Bro. Aqil Azmi Khair. Yes, it seems that all members are satisfied with his leadership in Steadfast, since he mentioned that he aimed to make Steadfast as an Islamic club that will apply Islamic environment, together with Islamic vision and mission. In line with that, Steadfast club has so many targets which will make this club as the best club that will contribute to the society. This is together with a new project – MAYS.

In order to make this as an achievement, we had conducted Induction Course that was taken place at Kem Sri Raudhah on 18^th and 19^th February 2012. The committees that take charge were brother Azfar and Sis Amirah Najwa from TOT, which stands for Team of Trainers. The line-up of mainboards also delivered their speech about some knowledge that they cannot get in classroom. Surely, this kind of new information will make all of the excos to be more prepared in the future.

The first slot was from Alumni, by Bro Man that mentioned a lot about the past history of Steadfast, and how all bureaus were formed like nowadays. The secretary, Nor Fazlina also had enlightened about making paper works, and other new things that should be informed to all of excos. Other than that, they also have to pay fees for RM25. However, that amount is more than enough to eat delicious food. And we are so sure that all of them were contented because all food that served finished to their stomach very well. xD

To end, we would like to wish all the best for all heads and assistants. As far as we can see, everyone is doing their best. If people cannot see your effort, don’t worry, because Allah will never miss to value or to grade your ibadah. Make sure that everything that we do is ibadah. insyaAllah. Assalam. - 12^th feb: Information bureau had participated on a workshop that was basically talked about how to manage websites and how to convert from Blogspot to Wordpress. Stay tune for new layout. However, we are still working on it. You can share your ideas on how to use Wordpress by sending email to steadfast_iiu@yahoo.com (please do!)


- 14th Feb: Humanitarian Award night. It is an open event to all IIUM students at Main Hall at 8 pm. Please come to know which club will get those lucky awards!

- 18^th n 19^th feb : Induction course for all main board and excos for the new line-up..

- 24-26th feb : All members was invited to be at Sk. Sg. Buaya at Rawang.
However, it was already closed due to the limit of facilitators' numbers. :)

and for new members who are still excited to be facilitators, wait for upcoming program in March. insyaAllah :) Just, stay tune! J

Peace be upon you, Steadfast-ians. J

This post is basically to talk about the latest programme that is held by TOT in Steadfast. Do you know what is TOT? Well, some say that Tot stands for “Team Orang Tua”. *joke XD
But hey, TOT stands for “Team of Trainers”. So, SET is basically an annual program in Steadfast and will be experienced by all members in Steadfast. The theme for SET is “ukhuwwah” in order to make the sense of brotherhood in Steadfast bind stronger from time to time. As all members in Steadfast will feel the excitement of SET, it aims for the new members in the family of Steadfast, so that they can get to know each other better. However, old members are also invited to join and mesmerized the event. J

Besides, the training and modules are aim to newcomers, so that they can prove their skills to their seniors that new members are also capable in many skills and fields. Meanwhile, some girls may express their great skill of cooking too. (because all groups have to cook for their own, in order to survive!)

Even though the fee was RM50 and some said that the amount can be used to buy food for a week, but the duration of SET which only three days and two nights can picture them memories that will never fade away. This is because; they had spent a lot of time together, especially with their own groups, since they were divided with new members that they never been introduced to before. It ups to the extent that they can discuss some issues and pointed it out during the last session which was during a heart-to-heart talk to one of the members in TOT. They were also experienced to sleep in tents. With the heart-to-heart talk, they can express their opinions and ideas so that this club can grasp improvements in the future, besides avoiding any bad image to the club.

Other than that, the event went smoothly, based on some activities, like the following:
- Kill your stage fright
- Polish your skills
- Personality skills
- Water confidence
etc.

There was also an activity when everyone was requested to bring their own present to be changed to one another. They didnt know to whom the present will be given to. So yeah, it was interesting to receive gifts!
