Steadfast's current updates ! :)

- 12^th feb: Information bureau had participated on a workshop that was basically talked about how to manage websites and how to convert from Blogspot to Wordpress. Stay tune for new layout. However, we are still working on it. You can share your ideas on how to use Wordpress by sending email to steadfast_iiu@yahoo.com (please do!)

- 14th Feb: Humanitarian Award night. It is an open event to all IIUM students at Main Hall at 8 pm. Please come to know which club will get those lucky awards!

- 18^th n 19^th feb : Induction course for all main board and excos for the new line-up..

- 24-26th feb : All members was invited to be at Sk. Sg. Buaya at Rawang.
However, it was already closed due to the limit of facilitators' numbers. :)

and for new members who are still excited to be facilitators, wait for upcoming program in March. insyaAllah :) Just, stay tune! J

The best program of Steadfast!

Assalamualaikum.
Peace be upon you, Steadfast-ians. J

This post is basically to talk about the latest programme that is held by TOT in Steadfast. Do you know what is TOT? Well, some say that Tot stands for “Team Orang Tua”. *joke XD
But hey, TOT stands for “Team of Trainers”. So, SET is basically an annual program in Steadfast and will be experienced by all members in Steadfast. The theme for SET is “ukhuwwah” in order to make the sense of brotherhood in Steadfast bind stronger from time to time. As all members in Steadfast will feel the excitement of SET, it aims for the new members in the family of Steadfast, so that they can get to know each other better. However, old members are also invited to join and mesmerized the event. J

Besides, the training and modules are aim to newcomers, so that they can prove their skills to their seniors that new members are also capable in many skills and fields. Meanwhile, some girls may express their great skill of cooking too. (because all groups have to cook for their own, in order to survive!)

Even though the fee was RM50 and some said that the amount can be used to buy food for a week, but the duration of SET which only three days and two nights can picture them memories that will never fade away. This is because; they had spent a lot of time together, especially with their own groups, since they were divided with new members that they never been introduced to before. It ups to the extent that they can discuss some issues and pointed it out during the last session which was during a heart-to-heart talk to one of the members in TOT. They were also experienced to sleep in tents. With the heart-to-heart talk, they can express their opinions and ideas so that this club can grasp improvements in the future, besides avoiding any bad image to the club.

Other than that, the event went smoothly, based on some activities, like the following:
- Kill your stage fright
- Polish your skills
- Personality skills
- Water confidence
etc.

There was also an activity when everyone was requested to bring their own present to be changed to one another. They didnt know to whom the present will be given to. So yeah, it was interesting to receive gifts!

Before end this entry, let’s view some photos that had been snapped. Luckily we have cameras these days, so that we are able to make people envy with our activities. XD

Mentor Mentee at Setiabudi

Assalamualaikum.

We are from Information Bureau apologize for the late updates, since the last invitation about SET before the long break. However, this post is just to inform all readers that Steadfast had joined a program in Sekolah Setiabudi on 18^th and 19^th of January. The program took two days of duration. It was before the two weeks of holiday. Yes, people who joined the mentor-mentee program had to sacrifice their holidays. See their commitments? Congratulations to all of you, the leaders of the world. And thanks for your sincerity :)

For your information, Steadfast is one of the clubs that has bond with Sekolah Setiabudi. In fact, they always invite Steadfast to join their programs, as the teachers had seen that facilitators can play their roles to give support to their students, especially to candidates of PMR and SPM. Some of the pairs (students and facilitators) are still keep in touch to always ask for advice in their examinations. Since our facilitators are also students, the teachers give us full belief that these brothers and sisters can share on how they study, and on how they manage their packed schedules. Yes, they were interested to know on how IIUM students make steps to involve in society, in sports and in academic areas. Besides, all facilitators consist of different courses. Hence, it makes them to make us as their role model. *cough*

TEAM OF TRAINER akan menjalankan satu training kepada semua ahli STEADFAST buat kali terakhir utk tenure 2010/2011 yg menggabungkan semua warga STEADFASTian. Program yang lebih menjurus kepada team building ini dijadualkan seperti di bawah:-

TEMPAT: IIUM & TERATAK RIVERVIEW, TANJUNG MALIM
BAYARAN: RM50 ONLY

anda boleh beramah mesra dengan semua ahli STEADFAST
anda boleh masak bersama, makan bersama, *mandi bersama,*tidur bersama, (*ikut jantina)melakukan segala aktiviti bersama2...
TOT tidak akan menghampakan masa yang anda peruntukan untuk mengikuti program ini...
antara aktivit2 nya adalah:-
- killing your stage fright
