STEADFAST ZOO VOLUNTEER
THEME:
“CONSERVE OUR ZOO”
BACKGROUND
STEADFAST proposed to
organize a program at the Zoo in Kuala Lumpur in order to exclusively allow the
STEADFAST members to contribute something to the community. This program is the
second event organized by STEADFAST since its establishment.
OBJECTIVES
- To create a team of students to assist the young generation to be responsible and sensitive to their environment.
- To share the knowledge and improve leadership skills with the school’s student.
- To realize the student the importance in appreciate the nature and creatures to our life.
- To practicing the responsibility by treating the animals with prudent and gentle way as the National Zoo volunteers by conducting duties as directed by the officer to the volunteers perfectly.
- To build relationship between facilitator and students in how to communicate with other persons that we know in short time.
PROGRAM SCHEDULE
7th November 2014 (Friday)
0700 Gather at IIUM.
0715 Depart to the zoo.
0745 Arrive at the
zoo.
0750 Breakfast.
0815 Talk session by Zoo Duty Officer.
0815 Talk session by Zoo Duty Officer.
0830 Volunteer Activities in Zoo.
· This session will be conducted by group consist of facilitator and
participants. For group activity, all students will be separated into several
groups with different areas. The volunteers / participants will take part in
this session according to the group designated.
· Volunteers
will be involved in daily operations at Zoo Negara Malaysia such as feeding,
exhibit projects, exhibit modification, and behavior enrichments for the
animals.
· There will be a session between facilitators and students during
the break.
1230 Volunteer sessions end.
1240 Lunch and break.
